Winter Asiad Athletes Embrace Chinese Culture in Harbin🌨️🎉

Nearly 20 athletes, sports delegation officials, and media representatives from the 9th Asian Winter Games participated in a vibrant cultural exchange event in Harbin City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. 🏂❄️ Held at the China Media Group studio within the picturesque Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo Park, the event was a melting pot of fun, tradition, and cultural immersion.

The festivities kicked off with an electrifying performance by a local Yangge dancing troupe. With energetic moves and rhythmic drum beats, the dancers quickly got everyone in high spirits. Notably, many foreign guests couldn’t resist joining in, dancing alongside the troupe and sharing laughs.

Participants also dipped their toes into various Chinese intangible cultural heritage crafts. From ice engravements that sparkle, to colorful sugar paintings, intricate wheat straw art, and delicate paper cuttings—everyone had a hands-on opportunity to create their own masterpieces. 🎨🖌️

No cultural experience is complete without delicious treats! Attendees savored traditional winter delicacies like frozen pears and persimmons. They also enjoyed the joyful art of making Yuanxiao, the sweet glutinous rice flour dumplings that are a staple during the Lantern Festival. 🍐✨

With the 9th Asian Winter Games running from February 7 to 14, events like these not only showcase athletic prowess but also celebrate cultural unity and friendship among participating nations. 🌍💬✨
