New Dino Species Discovered in SW China 🦖✨

Scientists just uncovered a real-life Jurassic giant in Yunnan Province! Meet Xingxiulong yueorum – a newly identified sauropod species that roamed the Chinese mainland 190 million years ago 🌍.

The fossilized skeleton, discovered in 2015 near Lufeng City, includes an impressive chain of bones from its back to tail tip, plus perfectly preserved shoulders and hind legs. Researchers are calling it a “paleontological jackpot” for understanding dinosaur evolution during the Early Jurassic period.

Yunnan’s fossil-rich terrain continues to be China’s dinosaur treasure chest 🧪. This discovery adds another piece to the puzzle of how massive long-necked dinosaurs like Xingxiulong dominated ancient ecosystems. Move over, Diplodocus – there’s a new sauropod in the spotlight!
