Li Fanghui Makes History with First World Cup Gold & Crystal Globe 🏆⛷️

Chinese freestyle skier Li Fanghui soared to victory 🚀 at the FIS Freeski World Cup in Calgary this weekend, snagging her first-ever World Cup gold in the women’s halfpipe and making history by sharing the season’s Crystal Globe trophy with Britain’s Zoe Atkin! 🎿✨

The 21-year-old stunned judges with a near-flawless 90.50-point run, while Atkin (87.75) and Canada’s Rachael Karker (87.00) rounded out the podium. But here’s the twist: Li and Atkin tied with 305 points each in the season standings—a first in freeski World Cup history! 🤯

“I’ve been grinding all year,” said Li, who didn’t even realize she’d won the Globe at first. “Last season was rough, but this… it’s unreal!” 💬

Just days before her Calgary triumph, Li kicked off February by winning China’s first gold 🥇 at the Asian Winter Games in Harbin—proving she’s the skier to watch in 2024. 🌨️🇨🇳
