Digital Magic Revives Ancient Dunhuang Art

Step into a pixel-powered time machine! The new ‘Super Dunfun’ exhibition in Beijing is turning ancient Dunhuang culture into an interactive playground, merging 1,600-year-old murals with cutting-edge tech.

Hosted by the EDCC Ewin Digital Art Center and Dunhuang Art, the experience spans 13 zones—think grotto-inspired VR realms, augmented reality storytelling, and digital recreations of Buddhist artistry. Visitors can ‘touch’ history through motion-sensor installations, making ancient tales as swipeable as TikTok clips.

Located at Beijing’s buzzing Wangfujing Department Store, the show runs until March 2025. Whether you’re a history buff or a metaverse explorer, this is culture reimagined for the Instagram generation.
