China's premier political advisory body, the CPPCC, wrapped up its tenth standing committee session in Beijing on Sunday.
Wang Huning, a key member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, led the closing meeting with an inspiring speech.
Wang highlighted the CPPCC's focus on the central tasks of the Party and the country, emphasizing the significant progress made over the past year. He called on the advisory body to continue contributing to Chinese modernization and to achieve the ambitious goals set in the 14th Five-Year Plan with high quality.
Looking ahead, Wang urged all members to ensure the successful convening of the third session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee.
The meeting also saw the adoption of key documents, including the draft agenda and schedule for the annual session, a work report from the Standing Committee, and a report on how proposals from political advisors have been handled since the second session.
These documents will be reviewed in the upcoming third session, setting the stage for another year of impactful work and strategic planning.
