Xizang Students Embrace New Semester After Quake 🌏✏️

Two months after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Dingri County near Mount Qomolangma 🏔️, thousands of students in southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region are back in classrooms for the new semester! 💪

Construction teams raced against time to repair 76 damaged schools, while 1,479 students from severely affected townships are attending temporary classrooms—including six new rooms at the county's Party school. New backpacks, bedding, and stationery greeted students like grade-sixer Pasang Tsering. 🎒✨

"We’re not just rebuilding schools—we’re rebuilding confidence,"
said Chimed of Xigaze’s education bureau. Teachers are prioritizing mental health support to help kids overcome quake-related anxiety. 🧠❤️

Meanwhile, reconstruction of eight destroyed villages began this week 🚧, aiming to relocate 120,000 residents by year-end. Debris clearance and housing design efforts are already underway, signaling a fresh start for communities.
