🇨🇳🇲🇲 China Urges Myanmar to Protect Earthquake Relief Teams & Supplies

🚨 Crisis in Myanmar: China Calls for Safety Amid Quake Chaos

China has appealed to Myanmar to safeguard relief workers and humanitarian supplies after a devastating 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck Mandalay last Friday, killing over 2,800 people. The death toll continues to climb, with 4,639 injured and 373 still missing.

🌍 Global Solidarity, Local Challenges

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun confirmed that emergency supplies from the Red Cross Society of China have already reached Myanmar and are en route to disaster zones. 'All personnel and materials are currently safe,' Guo said, while urging Myanmar’s political factions to prioritize emergency response efforts and keep transportation channels open.

💼 Aid Flows, But Risks Remain

China has donated 1.5 million yuan ($206,700) to Myanmar’s Red Cross and pledged more support 'according to Myanmar’s needs.' The announcement comes as international teams work around the clock to deliver aid despite logistical challenges and political instability. Guo emphasized that collaboration among Myanmar’s groups is crucial to 'overcome difficulties together.'

💬 'When disasters strike, borders fade,' remarked one volunteer coordinator. Will this tragedy unite Myanmar’s divided factions? The world is watching.
