Youth Lead ‘Green Long March’ for China’s Eco Future 🌱

Before sunrise on April 20, Beijing’s Wenyu River Park transformed into a hub of eco-energy as dozens of brightly decorated tents dotted the landscape. This wasn’t a festival—it was the kickoff of the ‘Beautiful China – Youth Action’ initiative, blending creativity and activism for sustainability.

Over 30 student groups and environmental collectives turned the park into a ‘green bazaar’, sharing ideas from urban gardens to AI-powered recycling prototypes. The symbolic Green Long March—a nod to China’s historic revolutionary journey—now reimagined as a call for climate resilience, drew hundreds of Gen Z participants armed with reusable water bottles and passion.

One participant, Li Jiawei (21), told NewspaperAmigo.com: ‘This isn’t just tree-planting—we’re building apps to track carbon footprints and designing biodegradable packaging.’ The event highlights how Chinese youth are leveraging tech and grassroots organizing to shape national ecological policies.

With China aiming for carbon neutrality by 2060, events like these spotlight the role of young innovators in turning green goals into reality. 🌍♻️
