Myanmar Transfers 900+ Telecom Fraud Suspects to China 🚨🌐

In a major crackdown on cross-border crime, Myanmar has handed over over 920 Chinese telecom fraud suspects to authorities in the Chinese mainland, according to a Wednesday announcement by China's Ministry of Public Security (MPS). The move highlights intensified collaboration between the two nations to combat organized cybercrime. 🔍

The suspects—transferred via the Daluo border port in southwest China's Yunnan Province—were captured in a series of operations launched by Myanmar since late March. This follows last year's dismantling of massive fraud hubs near the China-Myanmar border, which disrupted sprawling networks targeting Chinese citizens. 🛑

Despite relocating to remote areas of Myanmar to evade detection, fraud operators continue to face heat. The MPS shared critical intel with Myanmar to pinpoint new hideouts, leading to fresh arrests. Authorities warned suspects to surrender promptly for 'lenient treatment,' stressing that 'there's no escape from the law.' ⚖️
