China Slams U.S.-Led Bloc Over ‘Cold War’ Maritime Moves 🌊✋

China has fired back at a U.S.-led defense pact, accusing it of twisting facts and stirring tensions in Asia's seas. The sharp rebuke comes after the U.S., Japan, Australia, and the Philippines vowed to boost maritime cooperation—a move Beijing calls a 'Cold War-era power play.'

Cold War 2.0?

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian didn't hold back at Tuesday's press conference: 'Bloc politics and group confrontation are relics of the past. They won't intimidate China or solve problems.' The remarks follow a joint statement by the four nations at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, where defense chiefs pledged closer ties to counter China's maritime activities.

Dialogue Over Drama

Lin urged the countries to 'stop smearing China' and let regional neighbors resolve disputes through talks. 'Forming exclusive cliques undermines peace,' he stressed, reaffirming China's commitment to protecting its sovereignty. 🌏⚖️

The spat highlights growing friction in the East and South China Seas, where overlapping territorial claims have sparked global concern. China insists its actions aim to maintain stability—but critics argue the U.S.-backed coalition signals a new era of strategic rivalry.
