China’s Railways Go Digital: Paper Tickets Out, E-Invoices In 🚄💡

China’s railway system is getting a tech-powered upgrade! Starting this October, paper train tickets will officially become relics of the past as the country shifts to 100% digital invoices for all rail travel. The move, announced by China Railway Group, aims to streamline journeys and reduce environmental waste. 🌱

Travelers can now access digital invoices for tickets, refunds, or changes via the 12306 platform, station kiosks, or ticket counters—all within 180 days of their trip. No more scrambling to keep track of tiny paper slips! 📲

But what about those without smartphones or internet access? The railway authority has a solution: Passengers can request digital invoices in person at stations or through authorized third parties. "This ensures everyone benefits from the convenience," a CR representative said.

This shift aligns with China’s broader push for green, tech-driven infrastructure, mirroring global trends toward sustainable travel. Next stop: a frictionless future? 🚀
