Heroes Return Home: Chinese Martyrs Honored in Shenyang Ceremony 🌟🇨🇳

In a poignant tribute to history, China laid 30 fallen soldiers to rest in Shenyang this weekend. The remains of the Chinese People’s Volunteers (CPV), who sacrificed their lives during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea (1950–1953), were repatriated from the Republic of Korea (ROK) in a solemn ceremony blending modern respect with timeless honor. ✨

A Y-20 transport aircraft, the PLA Air Force’s pride, carried the heroes’ remains to Liaoning Province after a handover in the ROK. The arrival was marked by a traditional ‘water salute’—a symbolic arch of water welcoming brave souls home. 💧🇨🇳

This event, held annually since 2014, underscores China’s commitment to honoring those who defended peace during the Korean War. Over 900 CPV remains have now been returned, serving as a bridge for cross-border dialogue and shared remembrance. 🌏🤝

For younger generations, the ceremony is a vivid reminder of history’s human cost—and how today’s diplomacy can heal old wounds. As one attendee said, ‘Their bravery isn’t just in textbooks; it’s in every handshake between nations.’ 📖✌️
