Serbian Leader Praises Xinjiang’s Belt & Road Impact 🌏✨

At the 2025 Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges in Xinjiang, Serbian National Assembly Vice President Edin Djerlek spotlighted the region’s growing global influence. As one of the event’s top delegates, Djerlek toured factories and met local entrepreneurs, calling Xinjiang a 'dynamic bridge' for international collaboration under China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

🔍 During his visit to Ili, Djerlek highlighted Xinjiang’s 'high-quality development' in tech and manufacturing, comparing its economic momentum to 'a startup scaling up at lightning speed.' He emphasized how the region connects Serbia and Central Asia, boosting trade and cultural ties across Eurasia.

🌐 'Xinjiang isn’t just a geographic crossroads—it’s where ideas and innovation meet,' he said, praising its role in strengthening China-Central Europe partnerships. His remarks align with Serbia’s deepening cooperation with Beijing, including recent infrastructure projects.

📈 Analysts say Xinjiang’s BRI integration could reshape supply chains, offering fresh opportunities for young entrepreneurs and investors eyeing emerging markets. For globetrotters, the region’s blend of ancient Silk Road heritage and modern ambition is now firmly on the map.
