China’s Fujian Aircraft Carrier Nears Commissioning 🚢✈️

China’s advanced Fujian aircraft carrier is gearing up for its official commissioning, with defense officials confirming the milestone is "not far off." The vessel, which has been undergoing rigorous testing, recently completed critical training exercises involving cutting-edge carrier-based aircraft like the J-15T and stealth-capable J-35. 🌊

Ministry of National Defense spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang highlighted the successful use of electromagnetic catapult systems during takeoff and landing drills—a major leap in naval tech. This innovation allows faster, more efficient deployment of aircraft compared to older ski-jump designs used on China’s earlier carriers, the Liaoning and Shandong.

The Fujian, China’s third carrier, boasts a flat flight deck and a displacement of over 80,000 tonnes. Named after Fujian Province, it’s set to become a cornerstone of the country’s naval capabilities. Analysts say its progress signals China’s growing prowess in maritime defense. 🛡️
