Taiwan compatriots will gather with mainland counterparts this October to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Taiwan's restoration to China, a milestone event aimed at celebrating unity and shared history. The State Council Taiwan Affairs Office announced plans for cross-strait activities, including forums and cultural exchanges, to honor the sacrifices made during the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian emphasized the event's goal: 'To unite all Chinese sons and daughters, remember our martyrs, and safeguard the victory that brought Taiwan back to the motherland.' The gathering will feature representatives from various sectors, including residents of Taiwan, highlighting collective pride in China's historical resilience. 🕊️🇨🇳
