Mainland Eases Travel for Taiwan Residents 🛂✈️

Travel just got easier for residents of Taiwan heading to the Chinese mainland! 🎉 Starting November 20, 100 mainland ports will offer single-entry permits upon arrival—up from the current number—allowing stays of up to three months. Processing takes just 30 minutes! ⏱️

State Council Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Zhang Han announced the move, emphasizing the mainland's commitment to 'creating convenient conditions' for cross-strait travel. First-time visitors can even snag free permits and access over 1,000 attractions without paying a dime. 🏞️💸

For frequent travelers, a five-year card-style permit is available through mainland entry offices or Taiwan-based travel agencies. Zhang also assured that personal data will be 'strictly protected' under mainland laws. 🔒

The announcement comes amid criticism from Taiwan's mainland affairs council, which warned of 'risks' for travelers. Zhang dismissed these claims, calling them attempts by the island's Democratic Progressive Party authorities to 'obstruct cross-strait exchange.' 🚫

'Taiwan compatriots can come to the mainland just like coming home,' she said. 🌏❤️
