🌟 China’s 15th National Games just wrapped up with a bang, marking the first-ever edition co-hosted by Guangdong Province, Hong Kong SAR, and Macao SAR. This year’s event smashed records and spotlighted the power of cross-regional collaboration in the Greater Bay Area!
🏋️♀️ From 8-year-old prodigies to 81-year-old legends, over 11,000 amateur athletes joined elite competitors across 419 gold medal events. Teachers, doctors, farmers, and students proved sports truly are for everyone. The games saw 8 world records shattered, including swimming and rock climbing feats that even outpaced Paris Olympics performances!
🌉 Iconic moments? The marathon linking Shenzhen and Hong Kong SAR, plus a cross-boundary cycling race, became symbols of regional unity. “These events showcase China’s ability to achieve big goals through collective effort,” said organizing committee deputy director Tong Lixin.
