World’s Largest Compressed Air Energy Plant Powers Up in Jiangsu 🌍⚡

China just leveled up its green energy game! The Huaneng Jintan Salt Cavern Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) Phase II project – now officially the world’s largest facility of its kind – completed installation of its turbine unit this week in Jiangsu Province. Think of it as a giant, eco-friendly battery buried underground! 💨🔋

The turbine, dubbed the plant’s "heart," can go from zero to full power in just 10 minutes, converting compressed air into enough electricity to charge 100,000 EVs per cycle. All core components are 100% made-in-China, showcasing the country’s tech innovation in renewable energy. 🚀

Once fully operational, Phase II’s two 350-megawatt units will slash CO2 emissions by 520,000 tonnes annually – equivalent to planting 22 million trees! 🌳 This project is a major win for global climate goals and could inspire similar mega-storage solutions worldwide.
