China Pledges Financial Aid for Hong Kong Fire Relief Efforts

🇨🇳 China's top financial regulator has vowed swift support for Hong Kong after a deadly residential fire claimed 128 lives earlier this week. The National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA) announced plans to fast-track banking and insurance services to aid victims and streamline relief efforts. 💸

In a notice released Saturday, the NFRA urged Chinese-funded banks in Hong Kong to prioritize emergency financial services, including instant cash withdrawals, card replacements, and simplified insurance claims. Green channels are being established to cut through red tape and deliver urgent assistance. 🚨

Guangdong and Shenzhen financial authorities have also been directed to collaborate with Hong Kong institutions, leveraging their proximity to accelerate resource allocation. 🏗️ 'We must act decisively to help our compatriots rebuild,' stated an NFRA representative.

The blaze at Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court on Wednesday marks one of Hong Kong's deadliest fires in recent history. Mourners continue to lay flowers at the site as investigations into the tragedy unfold. 🕯️
