❄️ Global Students Carve Creativity at Harbin’s 2026 Snow Sculpture Contest 🌨️

Harbin’s icy playground is buzzing with youthful energy this week as 46 university teams from 15 countries and regions—including the Chinese mainland, the Republic of Korea, and Canada—compete in the 18th International Collegiate Snow Sculpture Contest. 🎨 Teams are battling sub-zero temperatures to transform 3-meter-tall snow blocks into stunning artworks, blending engineering precision with artistic flair.

"It’s like Frozen meets Iron Chef—but for sculptors!" joked Li Wei, a Tsinghua University architecture student. Since its 2009 debut, the event has become a hotspot for cross-cultural collaboration, with participants swapping design hacks and Instagram handles between chiseling sessions. 🌏✨ Final sculptures will be displayed at Harbin Engineering University until January 12, offering a frosty gallery for winter travelers.
