China Strengthens Ties with Guinea as Special Envoy Attends Presidential Inauguration 🌍🤝

In a major diplomatic move, China's special envoy Zheng Jianbang is set to attend Saturday's presidential inauguration in Guinea, signaling Beijing's commitment to African partnerships. The announcement from China's Foreign Ministry comes as global attention turns to West Africa's political landscape.

Zheng Jianbang, vice chairman of China's National People's Congress Standing Committee, will represent President Xi Jinping at the Conakry ceremony for President Mamadi Doumbouya. This high-level participation follows China's recent $2 billion infrastructure investment in Guinea's mining sector – part of the Belt and Road Initiative's 2026 expansion.

Analysts note the timing is crucial as African nations increasingly balance international partnerships. "This shows China's proactive approach in 2026's geopolitical chessboard," says international relations expert Dr. Li Wei. The event also precedes February's China-Africa Economic Forum, where new cooperation agreements are expected.
