Zhou Guanyu Shifts Gears: China’s F1 Star Joins Cadillac for 2026 Season 🏎️🇨🇳

China’s trailblazing Formula One driver Zhou Guanyu is gearing up for his most exciting challenge yet – helping launch Cadillac’s new F1 team as their reserve driver this season. The 26-year-old Shanghai native, who made history in 2022 as China’s first full-time F1 racer, brings fresh energy to the American team’s debut campaign 🌟.

After three seasons with Sauber (68 races!) and a 2025 stint as Ferrari’s reserve driver, Zhou told CGTN from Bahrain: "Half the Cadillac crew are familiar faces – it feels like reuniting with old friends!" The team’s 2026 car, developed under new F1 regulations, has already impressed him during pre-season testing 🛠️.

All eyes will be on Melbourne’s Albert Park this Sunday (March 8) as Zhou supports Cadillac’s historic first race. "No massive engine drama so far – that’s a win already," he laughed, adding: "This project’s energy? Unmatched. Let’s ride!" 🚦💨

While not racing full-time this year, Zhou remains China’s brightest motorsport ambassador – proving you don’t need a steering wheel to steer global attention toward Asian talent 🌏✨.
