Bridging cultures through creative storytelling, the 4th International Chinese Language Video Festival lit up Geneva's Palais des Nations last week! Over 300 diplomats, youth leaders, and cultural enthusiasts came together for this \"Youth Together for a Better World\"-themed celebration – think of it as the Coachella of multicultural film, but with way more subtitles.
Organized by China Media Group (CMG) and UN partners, the festival spotlighted 1,009 video submissions from 47 countries and regions – from Tokyo to Buenos Aires. \"This is Gen-Z diplomacy in action,\" said Tatiana Valovaya of the UN Office at Geneva. Ambassador Chen Xu added: \"Young voices are rewriting global narratives.\"
Psst… Want in on next year's action? Submissions might include anything from TikTok-style mini-docs to anime-inspired cultural deep dives. Pro tip: Start brainstorming your #GlobalCitizen story now!
