Alongside four other #TurtleSquad members, she was equipped with a satellite device to map her migratory path, turning her into a real-life ocean explorer!
Her journey? Nothing short of epic. By mid-June, Kimi reached the Qilianyu Archipelago, part of the Xisha Xuande Islands. By September, she swam to the Huidong Sea Turtle National Nature Reserve in Guangdong—a vital nesting site with a flat seabed and buffet-like food supply. Researchers say this area is the 'last safe haven' for sea turtles along China’s coastline.
