The Arab League and China Media Group (CMG) have officially signed a memorandum of understanding, marking a significant step towards enhanced collaboration in various media fields. This partnership aims to foster the establishment, exchange, and digitization of documentary archives, joint content production, media technology innovation, and increased personnel exchanges.
🎉 In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, the two organizations are set to produce a documentary that highlights key historical moments, past achievements, and future prospects of the forum. This exciting project is scheduled to premiere at the second China-Arab Summit in 2026.
During the signing ceremony, Shen Haixiong, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, engaged in in-depth discussions with Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit. They explored opportunities for cultural, sports, and media cooperation, as well as the expansion of personnel exchanges. The meeting was also attended by Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, Liao Liqiang.
Gheit expressed his appreciation for the extensive cooperation between China and Arab countries, highlighting how China's comprehensive reforms can drive global development. He also lauded CMG's advancements in media technologies, including ultra-high definition, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, and commended CGTN for its objective and fair reporting. 🌐🤝
