19th China Changchun Film Festival Ushers in a New Era of Cinema 🎬✨

The excitement is palpable in Changchun as the city kicks off the 19th China Changchun Film Festival on Wednesday. Nestled in northeast China’s Jilin Province, this year’s theme, \"New Era, New Cradle, New Power,\" highlights the festival's commitment to fostering fresh talents and innovative storytelling in Chinese cinema. 🎉🎬

Up for the prestigious Golden Deer Award are fifteen standout films, including crowd favorites like “Pegasus 2”, “Endless Journey”, “Only the River Flows”, “Viva La Vida”, “Article 20”, and “A Place Called Silence”. These films represent the best of what China has to offer in filmmaking today.

The Golden Deer Award jury is led by the acclaimed female director Li Shaohong, joined by a stellar panel of judges: screenwriter Ran Ping, cinematographer and director Bao Dexi, actors Yan Bingyan and Cheng Taishen, art director Cao Jiuping, and music producer Yu Fei. Their expertise ensures that only the finest films will be honored.

But the festival isn't just about the competition.
