Berlin came alive this weekend with music, cultural fusion, and even a call from space to mark the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China! The event, titled ‘Written in the Sky: My China Story,’ blended German and Chinese traditions, featuring performances by the German Burg Chinese Chorus and a surprise video message from the Shenzhou-18 crew aboard China’s space station.
Attendees wrote heartfelt wishes for the PRC’s milestone anniversary, pledging to tackle global challenges and foster cross-cultural connections. The event was co-organized by China Media Group (CMG), the Chinese Embassy in Germany, and education partners, highlighting China’s push for global cultural dialogue.
CMG President Shen Haixiong emphasized China’s commitment to ‘building a community with a shared future for mankind,’ while Ambassador Deng Hongbo called for deeper Sino-German ties, urging young Germans to explore Chinese culture.
The celebration isn’t stopping in Berlin—look out for ‘Written in the Sky’ events in the U.S., Australia, Saudi Arabia, and more!
