Oscar-Winning Brazilian Film Lights Up Beijing Premiere 🌟🎥

A Night of Cinema and Diplomacy 🎬✨

The Brazilian film "I'm Still Here," winner of the 2025 Oscar for Best International Feature, made its Chinese debut in Beijing this week. The premiere event drew Rosangela Lula da Silva, wife of Brazil's President, alongside filmmakers and actors from both nations, blending art and diplomacy.

From Political Turmoil to Silver Screen 🎞️

The film tells the gripping true story of Eunice Paiva, a woman navigating Brazil's 1970s political upheaval after her husband's disappearance. Rosangela praised the movie's global reach, saying: "It traveled over 17,000 km to share a buried chapter of Brazilian history with China's vast audience."

Cross-Continental Creativity 🌏🤝

Chinese actress Yao Chen highlighted growing cultural ties, gifting Rosangela a vinyl soundtrack from her own film The Cord of Life. "Films are bridges," Yao remarked, calling for more Brazil-China collaborations to "explore the world through storytelling."
