Why the hype? Labubu’s cult following blends street art, anime vibes, and limited-edition FOMO. This particular piece—reportedly one of only three in existence—features a dreamy pastel palette that had bidders battling like it was a Fortnite finale.
"This sale reflects how art toys are evolving into serious investments," said auction organizer Li Wei, noting that Gen Z and millennial collectors drove 80% of bids. Could this be the start of a Beanie Babies 2.0 boom? Only time (and eBay resales) will tell.
