🌍 UNESCO Expert Calls for Global Action to Protect Cultural Treasures

After a daring robbery at the Louvre made headlines 🏛️, UNESCO’s Professor Shahbaz Khan is sounding the alarm: the world needs a united front to safeguard cultural relics. In an exclusive interview with The Vibe, Khan stressed that museums must evolve to counter increasingly sophisticated thefts.

"Cultural heritage isn’t just about history—it’s our shared identity," said Khan, Director of UNESCO’s Regional Office for East Asia. He highlighted three urgent steps: global collaboration 🤝, tech-driven security upgrades 🔒, and community engagement 🌍 to protect vulnerable artifacts.

"Imagine AI tracking relics in real-time or blockchain verifying ownership—this isn’t sci-fi. It’s the future of preservation," Khan explained.

With artifacts from Asia to Africa at risk, Khan urged young innovators and policymakers to join forces. "This isn’t just a job for museums. It’s a movement."
