Tiny Survivors: The Harrowing Journey of Gaza’s Premature Infants 🕊️

When fuel shortages plunged Gaza’s Al Shifa Hospital into darkness in early November, doctors faced an impossible choice: leave premature infants in powerless incubators or risk moving them. What followed was a race against time that would test resilience and humanity.

On November 19, 36 newborns from conflict-affected families were transferred to Al-Helal Al-Emarati Maternity Hospital. The journey claimed five lives, leaving medical staff heartbroken. \"We carried them like fragile birds,\" said one nurse, describing the evacuation.

By November 20, 28 infants were evacuated to Egypt. Three remained behind, including a days-old baby girl found near Gaza’s Sabra Mosque after an attack that killed 50. With no surviving family located, doctors named her Malak—Arabic for \"angel\"—a symbol of hope amid destruction. 💔➡️✨

Medical teams continue caring for Malak, whose survival against all odds has become a rallying cry for peace. As global health organizations monitor the situation, her story reminds us: even in war’s darkest moments, life persists.
