CTG Showcases Peru’s Chaglla Hydro Plant in Virtual Open Day 🌊💡

China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) just pulled back the curtain on one of Peru’s most impressive clean energy projects! 🎉 On December 16, the company hosted an online open day for its Chaglla hydroelectric power plant—a mega-project nestled along the Huallaga River in Peru’s Huanuco region, roughly 415 km from Lima. 🌄

Dubbed Peru’s third-largest hydropower facility, Chaglla boasts a whopping 456,000 kilowatts of installed capacity. Since firing up in 2016, it’s pumped out over 2.51 billion kWh of electricity annually—enough to light up countless homes while slashing carbon footprints. 🍃⚡

But this isn’t just about watts and turbines. The plant has become a lifeline for local communities, fueling economic growth and powering sustainable development across the region. 💼🌱 The virtual tour gave viewers a front-row seat to how cutting-edge engineering meets environmental responsibility—a win-win for Peru’s future. 👏
