Shiyi Village, nestled in Sichuan’s Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, is more than just a postcard-perfect destination. Rebuilt after the devastating 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, this resilient community has become a symbol of hope—blending ethnic Qiang culture, agritourism, and breathtaking landscapes. 🌄

Chinese President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, recently sent festive greetings to villagers and tourists here. His message struck a chord: “After optimizing pandemic measures, my biggest concern has been rural areas and farmers. With weaker medical infrastructure, prevention becomes tougher,” Xi shared during a January 18 video call.

Huang Yan, a local tour operator who joined the call, described the moment as “heartwarming” for everyone. The village’s revival—now thriving with organic farms and homestays—reflects what Xi called “the strength of unity in hardship.” 🛤️

As travelers flock to experience Shiyi’s unique heritage, this story isn’t just about recovery—it’s a spotlight on China’s rural resilience and leadership’s focus on grassroots well-being. 💚
