As China prepares to host its first China-Central Asia Summit this week in Xi'an – the ancient Silk Road hub – we hit the streets of Bishkek to ask Kyrgyz youth: 'What fascinates you about Chinese culture?' 🎤
📈 Many highlighted China's booming economy and world-class education system. But one theme stood out: family bonds. 'In China, respecting elders isn't just tradition – it's a way of life,' shared Aizada, 24, who studied in Beijing. 'The way families gather for holidays, support each other’s dreams… it’s inspiring.'
🏮 Others praised Chinese festivals like Lunar New Year, calling them 'vibrant time capsules of history.' Several mentioned wanting to visit the summit host city Xi'an to see the Terracotta Warriors firsthand.
🌏 With leaders from all five Central Asian nations attending the summit, cultural connections like these could pave the way for stronger partnerships. As Aizada put it: 'When we understand each other’s hearts, business follows naturally.'
