From July 29 to August 1, Laishui County in north China's Hebei Province experienced intense rainfall, causing the water levels of the Juma, Yishui, and Xiaoxi rivers to rise sharply. The mountainous regions were particularly hard hit, leading to widespread flooding.
Amber, an American vlogger who has been living in China for almost eight years, along with her husband, traveled to Laishui County to assess the situation and lend a helping hand. During their visit, they encountered power outages, water shortages, and internet failures, highlighting the severity of the floods.
Despite these challenges, Amber witnessed an incredible display of solidarity as rescue teams from other cities and countless volunteers came together to support the affected communities in Laishui.
