South African Youth Highlights China’s Impact on Education & Culture 🌍📚

As the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation approaches, young voices are spotlighting the real-world impact of cross-continental collaboration. South African English teacher Nokukhanya Khanyi Zulu, who once lived in China, sat down with Devin Liu, a Chinese student in Cape Town, to share how education and cultural exchange are reshaping ties between their nations.

🎙️ 'Learning Chinese isn’t just a trend—it’s a bridge,' Nokukhanya told CGTN. South Africa hosts the most Confucius Institutes in Africa, with Mandarin now part of many high school curriculums. Meanwhile, Devin shared how studying African traditions in South Africa helped him 'see the beauty of Ubuntu philosophy.'

🔍 Beyond classrooms, they discussed green energy partnerships and tech startups linking Johannesburg with Shenzhen. With the Beijing summit set to focus on sustainable development from Sept 4-6, their conversation mirrors a youth-driven vision for mutually beneficial growth.
