Young Americans Urge US-China Dialogue Over Rivalry 🌏🤝

As U.S. and Chinese officials wrapped up high-stakes economic talks in Sweden this week, young Americans shared their vision for cross-Pacific relations: dialogue, not drama. 🎙️

CGTN spoke with Gen Z voices in New York who see tech collaboration and fair trade as keys to unlocking better ties. "We’re living in a TikTok-meets-AI world," says 21-year-old student Leia Marquiegui. "Why restrict innovation? Let’s build together." 💡

For 23-year-old Max Gallagher, economic fairness takes center stage: "When trade gets messy, our jobs and wallets feel it first." Both agree that equal-footed negotiations could turn tensions into opportunities – from climate tech to manufacturing.

Their message to leaders? Ditch the Cold War playbook. "We’re the generation that FaceTimes across borders," Leia adds. "Let’s make that energy count."
