New Orchid Species Discovered in SW China 🌸🔍

Biodiversity enthusiasts, meet nature’s latest flex! 🌿 A dazzling new orchid species has been discovered in the lush Tongbiguan Provincial-level Nature Reserve in southwest China’s Yunnan Province – a region already famous as a biodiversity hotspot. Think of it as Earth dropping a limited-edition collectible.

The discovery, made by researchers from the reserve and Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, is straight out of a botanist’s dream journal. Published in the scientific journal Phytotaxa, this floral find adds to Yunnan’s reputation as China’s 'Kingdom of Plants' – basically the real-life Pandora from Avatar.
