Severe Winter Weather Claims 60 Lives in Afghanistan ❄️😢

Over the past three weeks, Afghanistan has been hit by a harsh winter, bringing heavy snowfall, freezing rain, and bitter cold temperatures. Tragically, these extreme weather conditions have resulted in the deaths of 60 people and left 23 others injured across the country.

Mullah Janan Saeq, spokesperson for the national disaster authority, confirmed the devastating toll caused by the relentless storms. The region's infrastructure has been severely impacted, making rescue and relief efforts challenging for authorities and communities alike.

The extreme weather has also disrupted daily life, with many residents struggling to access basic necessities and warmth amidst the freezing conditions.
