The National Meteorological Center of China has renewed a yellow alert for rainstorms, warning of heavy downpours expected to affect several regions.
From Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon, provinces including Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will experience intense rainfall. Forecasts indicate maximum hourly precipitation could exceed 80 millimeters, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong gales.
Local governments have been urged to prepare for the rainstorms, with traffic authorities advised to implement necessary control measures on affected roads. Additionally, measures such as disconnecting vulnerable outdoor power supplies, suspending outdoor operations, and relocating residents from high-risk areas to safer locations have been recommended.
China utilizes a four-tier, color-coded weather warning system, where red signifies the most severe weather conditions, followed by orange, yellow, and blue.
