Hainan Bounces Back After Super Typhoon Yagi 🌪️

China’s tropical island province of Hainan is racing to recover after Super Typhoon Yagi – the most powerful autumn storm to hit the region in over 70 years – caused widespread damage last week. 🍃 Rescue teams and local residents are working around the clock to clear debris, restore power, and reopen key transportation hubs.

The typhoon, which made landfall Friday with winds reaching 150 mph, claimed four lives and injured 95 others. 💨 Social media footage showed flooded streets in Sanya and Haikou, where airports have now resumed operations after emergency repairs.

\"This was like a real-life action movie,\" said Li Wei, a Haikou resident who helped neighbors sandbag their homes. \"But everyone came together – firefighters, police, even students.\" 👮♂️👩🚒 Government crews have prioritized restoring hospitals and communication networks, while volunteers distribute food and water to displaced families.
