He voiced concerns over the limited progress made at the recent UN biodiversity conference, COP16, urging nations to take more decisive actions.
With COP29 scheduled in Azerbaijan next week, Solheim also called on developed countries to provide greater support to the world's least developed nations to help them adapt to climate change.
