Sri Lanka’s Rain Crisis Hits 15,000+ 🌧️💔

Over 15,000 people in Sri Lanka are reeling from severe rain-triggered disasters this week, including floods, destructive winds, and landslides. The country’s Disaster Management Center (DMC) reported that 15,954 individuals from 4,307 families across seven districts have been impacted, with Northern Province bearing the brunt.

🌧️ Worst-Hit Areas: The Northern Province’s Jaffna district alone saw 7,010 affected residents. Other regions, like the North Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces, also faced widespread damage from falling trees and overflowing rivers.
