Morocco Flood Recovery Begins as Waters Recede 🌊🏡

Moroccan authorities are finally breathing a sigh of relief as floodwaters retreat in the northwest, allowing thousands of displaced residents to return home this week. 🏠 Over 188,000 people were evacuated since early February due to overflowing rivers—now, free train and bus rides are helping families reunite in Ksar El Kebir and other affected areas. 🚆

While most of Ksar El Kebir’s residents can now reclaim their homes, some neighborhoods remain off-limits due to lingering risks. Authorities and the military continue to monitor dam levels, including the Oued Makhazine dam, which recently operated at 160% capacity! 💦
