The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, officially kicked off this Saturday, marking a significant moment for the host city and the entire Asian sports community. After a one-year postponement due to the global pandemic, the Games are set to run from September 23 to October 8, 2023, spanning Hangzhou and five other co-host cities in Zhejiang Province.
Organized by HAGOC, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), and 45 National Olympic Committees (NOC), this edition of the Asian Games welcomes a record-breaking 12,000 athletes competing in 40 sports, 61 disciplines, and 481 gold medal events.
