The second Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) launched in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province in the eastern Chinese mainland, on November 23, 2023. Spanning an impressive 100,000 square meters, the expo features one comprehensive pavilion, two special pavilions, and four digital industry pavilions.
Among the distinguished guests was former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, who currently serves as the president of the Shanghai-headquartered New Development Bank (NDB). Rousseff attended the opening ceremony and toured several booths, including those of leading Chinese tech giants Alibaba and iFlytek.
Reflecting on the event, Rousseff stated, \"This fair signifies a moment of openness for this immense economy – the Chinese economy – showcasing all its power and vigor. It clearly reflects China's potential to emerge as the world's leading economy by 2030.\" Her insights were shared during an interview with CGTN.
