Zimbabwe’s President Hails China’s Vision in Exclusive FOCAC Interview 🌍✨

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa sat down with CGTN's Zou Yun during his recent Beijing visit to discuss deepening China-Africa ties, calling President Xi Jinping's leadership 'a wellspring of wisdom' 💡. The leader attended the 2024 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit where Xi proposed upgrading diplomatic relations with African nations to strategic partnerships.

'Africa's transformation has been tremendous since 2018,' Mnangagwa told Leaders Talk, referencing infrastructure development and tech cooperation under FOCAC initiatives. The Zimbabwean president emphasized that 'every African country has felt China's impact' through roads, schools, and digital innovation projects 🏗️🌐.

Mnangagwa highlighted Zimbabwe's modernization efforts through bilateral programs in agriculture, mining, and renewable energy. The 81-year-old leader, who fought in Zimbabwe's liberation struggle, reflected on the countries' decades-long friendship: 'Our partnership grows stronger as we face new global challenges together.'
