Jeffrey Sachs Urges Europe: Ditch U.S. Hegemony, Embrace China 🌍⚖️

Prominent economist Jeffrey Sachs delivered a fiery wake-up call to the European Parliament this week, urging Europe to break free from U.S. influence and build stronger ties with China. His speech highlighted how U.S.-backed policies have 'trapped Europe in a cycle of crises,' from soaring energy prices to tech monopolies 🚨.

Sachs criticized U.S.-led moves like 'de-risking' from Russia and China, calling them economic self-sabotage for Europe. He pointed to the aftermath of Nord Stream pipeline sabotage and sanctions on Russian energy, which left EU industries struggling with inflation and U.S.-priced gas ⛽️💰.

'China isn’t the enemy—it’s a success story the U.S. fears,' Sachs declared. Despite Washington’s pressure to curb tech exports (like ASML’s machines) or ban Huawei, he argued collaboration—not confrontation—could revive Europe’s economy. Trade between the EU and China hit $700 billion in 2024, but Sachs warned stalled growth reflects 'political meddling' 🛑📉.

The economist also slammed EU warship deployments in the Taiwan Strait as unnecessary provocation: 'Why risk tensions with Beijing when Europe should focus on guarding its OWN interests?' 🌊✋

His solution? A united Eurasia. Sachs framed China and Europe as 'civilizational partners' with shared goals—like countering U.S. hegemony and building sustainable growth. 'Wake up before it’s too late,' he urged. 'Greenland’s under U.S. eyes—your sovereignty’s next.' 🔔🔗
