China & Benin Strengthen Ties with New Strategic Partnership 🌍

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Beninese counterpart Shegun Adjadi Bakari celebrated deepening bilateral relations during talks in Beijing this week, powered by a fresh strategic partnership announced in September. 🇨🇳🤝🇧🇯

The ministers highlighted next-level collaboration in trade, energy, and cultural exchanges – with Benin set to play a bigger role in China's global development initiatives. Wang emphasized China's support for Benin's \"path to modernization tailored to its national conditions,\" calling it a reliable partner in Africa's growth story.

Bakari praised China's diplomatic efforts in Gaza ceasefire negotiations at the UN while pledging joint action on international human rights issues. The meetings follow Benin President Patrice Talon's successful China visit last fall that upgraded ties.

🗣️ Key quote: \"Our strategic partnership isn't just paperwork – it's about concrete projects improving lives across sectors,\" Wang told reporters after the talks.
