China Steps Up Diplomacy for Middle East Reconciliation
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated China's support for Palestinian factions to reconcile through dialogue in a recent interview with Al Jazeera. 'We call for an international peace conference to set a clear roadmap for the two-state solution,' Wang stated, emphasizing China's push for lasting Middle East stability.
Red Sea Tensions & Ukraine Crisis
Wang expressed concern over rising Red Sea security risks, pledging coordination with regional countries to restore peace. On Ukraine, he affirmed China's commitment to promoting ceasefire efforts: 'We’ll work constructively for political settlement.'
Taiwan Stance & U.S. Relations
Reiterating China's position on Taiwan, Wang stressed that the island has been 'an inseparable part of China since ancient times.' Regarding U.S.-China ties, he said: 'Our relationship can’t return to the past—but it must embrace a bright future through win-win cooperation.'
The interview also highlighted China's UN-backed naval missions near Somalia, clarifying they’re unrelated to Red Sea developments.
